Official Rules
The following rules will remain unchanged during the NH Last Cast Club tournament trail season. Interpretation of these rules shall be left exclusively to the Tournament Committee.
1. Annual Registration Fee: Each participant in the trail shall pay a one-time registration fee of $25.00. Each boat-owner shall present proof of liability insurance on his/her boat prior to using said boat to compete in any tournament.
2. Tournament Entry Fee: Based on 2 man format only –
The entry fee per tournament is $60 PER BOAT.
$10.00 of this fee goes to split Lunker Pools.
Of the remaining $50.00 – 80% will be paid back as follows:
All participants must launch from predetermined tournament launch site for morning livewell checks.
TOC – You must fish at least 5 NH Last Cast Club tournaments to qualify for the TOC. Entry fee is $120.00 PER BOAT ($20.00 of this goes to Lunker Pools). TOC is a two day, two person per boat event.
3. Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times by all tournament participants. Each participant is required to have a Coast Guard approved life preserver and all safety equipment required by the State of New Hampshire boating laws on board. Life preservers will be worn any time the gas motor is in operation. No participant shall ride in an elevated seat while the gas motor is in operation and the boat is in motion.
4. Maximum courtesy must be practiced at all times, especially in regard to boating and angling in the vicinity of property owners or non-competitors who may be on the tournament waters. Any act of a participant that reflects unfavorably on NH Last Cast Club and its efforts to promote fisheries, conservation, clean waters and courtesy, shall be reason for immediate disqualification.
5. Only artificial lures shall be used. Live bait is not permitted. All bass must be caught alive in a conventional sporting manner and in accordance with the rules and regulations of the State of
6. No team will be permitted to participate in that day’s tournament if they arrive after the official start time.
7. Limits: April, May and June: 2 fish per person July thru October 5 fish PER BOAT
8. The check-in point and the official time shall be designated and announced by an appointed committee member prior to the start of each tournament.
9. Late arrivals at weigh-in: Teams arriving late will be penalized 1 lb per minute up to 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, the team will be disqualified. A boat in distress must make every attempt to contact the committee by cell phone or other means for assistance. Committee ruling on late arrivals is final.
10. Participants shall not fish within 25 yards of another competitor.
11. Participants will be penalized .25 oz per each dead fish weighed, which shall be deducted from the boat’s total weight. No dead fish will be eligible for the lunker pool.
12. Ties for Total Weight will be decided by the largest single fish of the tied teams.
13. Ties for Lunker Pool will result in a 50/50 split of the purse for that species.
14. In cases where only one species is caught by all teams, the total of both pools will be awarded in full to the team with the largest fish of that species.
15. At the completion of the tournament, all caught fish still alive shall be returned to the water a distance of no less than 300 feet from the weigh-in site. The boat that draws #1 take-off position that day will be the boat responsible for the transport of all fish to this location.
16. The boat with the highest number drawn for take off at a tournament will serve as the “Start Boat” (calls the take-off) for that tournament.
17. Tournament Schedule:
a. 8 tournaments / 1 throw out
b. Winning weights for year will be total of 7 best
c. In addition, there will be a TOC at the end of the year. This is a “stand alone” tournament. Weights and lunkers from the TOC do NOT count toward season totals.
d. A portion of the entry fees collected throughout the season will go towards the end of the year TOC payout.
18. No alcohol permitted at the tournament sites – before, during, or after – any tournament. You will be disqualified from that tournament and banned from participating in any future NH Last Cast Club tournaments.
All rules not stated in NH Last Cast Club Official Rules will be deferred to BASS rules. All final decisions will be made by NH Last Cast Club Tournament Officials.
